Daily Activity 4-1 (Ala Carte 1)

Helloo genk, welcome back to my blog ;)

Yakk after two weeks dealing with mid term test at the 3rd semester, we continued learning activity (poor thing, there’s no holiday) hahahaha. Soooo in the first week after the mid we began this new chapter #EAA hehe if before our mid we practiced and learnt about Buffet Menu, today we practiced for A la Carte Menu #YUHUUU!#. As usual I went to the campus at 7:30 am and I shared the recipe that I have copied before. At 8:30 we went to the kitchen and did one-line in the Main Kitchen.

After all of us gathered in the Main Kitchen, our Boss Gang Pak Ical stood in front of us to give directions for our Ala Carte menu today. Pak Ical also told us a few things about the A la Carte Menu, also for today we just prepared the ingredients and will start cooking the food when guests at the restaurant are ready to order tomorrow. Yaaa A la Carte menu for tomorrow is a little bit too much because there will be more than 10 menus, guys :”) fortunately I got the Pastry Section for this week’s practice! Yeaayy!! The Pastry Section consists of Rice Pudding, Bubuh Injin and  Sachertorte.

So today we made the Rice Pudding and Sachertorte first so that tomorrow we only need to platting it, as for the Bubuh Injin, we’ll make it tomorrow too. Nata, Yandy and I made the Sachertorte today but before that Nata and I prepared the ingredients first such as egg, icing sugar, cocoa powder, almonds, butter etc just like what was written in the recipe. After that we started to mix all the ingredients and then we started baked but unfortunately our first try was failed because the final results of the cake’s shape wasn’t that good, we called it bantet in Indonesian :") So we re-created a new lump and Alhamdulillah the result was better than before, it wasn’t bantet anymore. After that we made the layer of peaches where we have crushed before and added the cooked sugar until it thickens or becomes jam. Last but not least we did our daily activity, general cleaning.
