Daily Activity 3-3 (Hotel Gammara)
Hello again. I hope you never get bored
with all my daily activities on this precious blog where I’m going to tell you
about today’s activities at the kitchen in Gammara hotel, Makassar. Anyway,
this is my third post in this third week. As always, around 6.30 in the morning
I was already on the way to pick up my friend at the campus dormitory, so
around 6.50 we were all ready to go to the Gammara hotel. First of all, we needed
to fill our attendance list before we went up to the kitchen and moved toward
each of our own sections.
The first task from Kak Ririn, who is a
Demi Chef Pastry in Gammara hotel, was to fill up the filling and give some
toppings for the éclair that I have made yesterday, for the filling was vanilla
sauce, and the toppings were melted chocolate and almond. After I finished the
task, as usual I had to clean up my work area. Closing breakfast was conducted
around 10.30 am. So, I helped Fira to keep all the breakfast foods that were
still good. We had general cleaning before we moved back to the pastry section.
Not to be forgotten, Kak Ririn asked to make the teripang cake again.
I prepared all the ingredients, made the
teripang cake immediately, and wrapped it up and put it on the cold storage.
Finally, Kak Ririn and Kak Hadi allowed me to take a break and have a lunch at
the nearby canteen. At 13.00 pm, I moved back to the pastry section and I had
another task from Kak Ririn. She asked me and Fira to clean up the cold storage
in the pastry section along with her. I brought all the
foods that had been chose by Kak Ririn that couldn’t be used anymore and all
the baking pans to the washing pot. Once we finished them up, Kak Ririn asked
me to help Fira to make the éclair. Once more, she asked me to finish the
filling part. Around 15.30 pm, I was ready to go home.
