Daily Activity 3-4 (Hotel Gammara)

Hello guys, a newly post about my daily activities at the kitchen in Gammara Hotel, Makassar has been up. This my third post in this third week. As it had become my morning routine, I guess you guys already knew that I had to pick up my friend at the campus dormitory around 6.30 in the morning so that I didn’t have to go by myself to the Gammara Hotel. We filled up the attendance list, wore the apron and hat, and ready to go to the kitchen.

I stepped inside the pastry section and I noticed that my friend, Icha, had been there already for having training program in the Gammara Hotel. Kak Hadi had been there too, and he asked me to fry the teripang cake. Kak Hadi also asked me an assistance to fill up the sweet bread with chocolate, and cleaned up the work area. Closing breakfast was finished at 10.30 am, so I went out to take the foods and bring them to the pastry section. Afterwards, Kak Hadi asked me again to make the teripang cake (yup, this is my daily routine, making bunches of teripang cake), so I prepared all the ingredients and made the teripang cake already.

After what seemed like an hour, Kak Ririn asked me to help her to prepare the snack box, and make Putu Ayu cake. Right at the 12.00 pm, Kak Ririn gave me some time to take a break and have lunch in the canteen. Because it was the very first time for me to make putu ayu, and I didn’t ask her to make sure what I had to do to make the cake, so I was failed in making the cake. Kak Ririn asked me to threw it away and prepare the new one. After it was done, I put the dough in the insert and put it in the cold storage.
