Daily Activity 5-4 (Ala Carte 2)
Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb.
Howdy?? I’m quite
happy today because it was the last practice day on this fifth week of the
third semester. So, I arrived at the Poltekpar Kitchen exactly at 7 in the
morning and I quickly wore my carpus and apron, put all my belongings in the
locker room. And I guess you guys already knew the rest without explicitly
telling you. But there were some menus that sold out already because there were
no more ingredients, so we should change the menus.
For the main course,
we changed Beef Wallington into California Burger. The appetizer menus that
sold out were Chef Salad, Empek-Empek, Thai Papaya and Manggo Salad. And, the
dessert menus that sold out was just Red Velvet Roll. Yup, luckily the menu
that I got had sold out. So I helped my friends who hadn’t finished the
preparation. Sometimes I gave an assistance in the main course or pastry
sections. I also helped Kak Indra to cut the oranges and took its essence. At
11 am, the open resto was started, so we came back to our own sections.
I helped Nata and
Lina to handle the Jellied Fruit Salad section. At 12 oclock, we took a break
to have a prayer, and it was the boys’ turn. And the girls had a time to go to
the nearest mosque. Once we came back, the open resto was closed already. So we
quickly cleaned up our work areas. Mr. Ical said that we should cook something
for Anak Bangsa (have lunch together). So, some of us were cooking and some of
us were doing general cleaning.
